April Tierney
Poet
April is a poet, activist, craftswoman, mother, and lover of stories. Her work follows threads of ecopoetics, myth, culture, and lineage. She is the author of three full length collections of poetry, including Memory Keeper (Wayfarer Books 2022), and a contributor to several anthologies. April has been nominated for The Pushcart Prize, and featured in Orion, Deep Times: A Journal of the Work that Reconnects, The Wayfarer Magazine, and Real Ground Journal, among others. She lives in Lyons, Colorado with my husband, young daughter, mischievous dog, and wide web of kin. For more information visit www.apriltierney.com.
Amy Glenney
Musician
Amy is a Colorado Songcatcher and Singer, who has performed both solo and in local Bands throughout the Front Range for over 20 years. Growing up in the mountains of East Tennessee, and then later growing up some more in the Colorado Rockies, Amy is always hearing and singing the music of the hills and valleys, the trees and stone. She invites the listener to join her on a journey through Melody, back to the heart of what makes us sing.
Amy Sass
Visual Artist
Visual artist, writer, director, teacher, puppeteer, ritual maker, lover of legend and lore… Amy Sass is a swiss army knife of creative action. For 2 decades, she served as Co-founder and Artistic Director of Ragged Wing Ensemble (2004 - 2021), birthing physical theater, visual art and immersive experiences in the San Francisco Bay Area. A long term educator, Amy is the visionary behind FIERCE PLAY, a dynamic, interdisciplinary approach to creative practice (coming soon to Mayama in Lyons!). A provocateur at heart, she incites the spark and flow of artistic energy, teaching workshops, leading retreats and providing coaching to artists and institutions. Amy is known for bringing her visual artist's eye to the stage, her sense of story to the canvas, and her love of myth and movement to wild and urban spaces. Now living in the Rocky Mountains, she channels her creative imaginings into mixed media paintings that emerge from a playful dream-space inviting viewers to touch into legend. Through art-making, she converses with the local community of spirits, deities, guardians, animals, plants, minerals, and humans, creating mythic images, mountain narratives, and transformative experiences.
